A song is an artistic composition of tones or sounds in a sequence, combination, and temporal relationship (usually accompanied by musical instruments) to produce a musical composition that contains unity and continuity.

Social Function of the Song

Song is similar kind to a poem technically but with more adapted to the melody instead of pure verse. It has social function too, they are

- to inspire the listeners with the message beyond
- to motivate the listeners either from its tune and melody or the lyric itself.
- to express public opinion about the social phenomena, usually used for the chants in demonstration
- to entertain public
- to be used as a media for language learning.

 => The formation of mental images due to figurative and descriptive language

5.) SYMBOL

=> A symbol is anything that stands for or represents something else

In this song, "mirrors" is symbolizing a reflection between two people that are very close and are in love





6.) HYPERBOLE

=> A hyperbole is an obvious or intentional exaggeration.

=> An idiom is a phrase in which the literal meaning of the words does not add up to the actual meaning
